ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is organising a new EU Virtual Careers Fair on October 11. Employers can connect online with finance and accounting professionals looking for new career opportunities, from those just starting out to those with experience. The event, where candidates can register for free, will take place on October 112023, online and will be accessible from 8:00 to 20:00 CET.

Bringing together leading employers from across the European Union, the fair is dedicated to those exploring new career development options, changing direction to a new career area or simply testing the job market. Over the 12 hours, a range of practical hiring tips will be shared through live expert webinars, videos, live chats with ACCA representatives and employers, covering useful topics such as interview skills and CV writing.

The event is part of a global ACCA initiative to support professionals who want to develop their careers in the accounting and finance field, whether or not they are ACCA members. In doing so, the fair is an extension of the world’s largest global finance and accounting jobs platform: https://jobs.accaglobal.com/

The first virtual edition of the ACCA career fair was organised in our region in March 2020, amidst the mobility restrictions imposed by COVID-19. Its wide attendance and success prompted ACCA Southern Europe to return with a new online edition in November 2020.

Last year we had 134 employers and 1260 candidates participating. This year we have job offers from more than 100 employers from 13 EU countries and we are very happy about it. We are thus offering important career opportunities to our members and to all those working in the field of finance and accounting, at a time when the profession has shown that it knows no borders and that valuable experts can come from anywhere and work anywhere,” explains Andreia Stanciu, Head of ACCA Southern Europe,

Participation in the fair is free of charge, candidates only need a computer, a mobile phone or a tablet with internet access. In addition to the actual job offers, ACCA will offer – free of charge – career advice sessions at the fair, as well as presentations on what the accountancy profession will look like in the future from the association’s perspective. Registration can be made at: ACCA EU Virtual Careers Fair (vfairs.com)
