Legendary rock band Nightwish is coming back to Romania after three years for a memorable outdoor show as part of the Decades tour that celebrates 20 years since the band started out. Opening acts: Fallen Arise from Greece and A Tear Beyond from Italy.
Great Romanians and their famous inventions exhibition – August 17 – September 30 @ Vitan Mall
Did you know Bucharest was the first city in the world where public lighting was done with gas lamps? Or that a Romanian invented the ejector seat? These are just a few examples that changed the world in the past 100 years, and to celebrate the Romanian Centennial Bucharest Mall has prepared a special cultural project to showcase the most important inventions by Romanians throughout history.
Paella & Wine Festival – August 17-19 @ Beraria H
Beraria H has prepared another deliciously themed weekend by the Herastrau Lake, where you’ll be able to enjoy the best paella in town along with a variety of wines and a special atmosphere created by live music acts.
Book Tree 2018 – August 17-September 2 @ Izvor Park
Another edition of Book Tree is starting this weekend – the event encourages Bucharest citizens to rediscover the pleasures of reading in the middle of nature. Besides the books available to read in the park, you’ll also find creative workshops, live music and documentary film screenings. Details can be found here.
Ice Cream Festival – August 17-19 @ Hard Rock Café
If you love ice cream, this is your chance to try out the most amazing varieties, accompanied by all sorts of delicious things like waffles, mini choux, brownies, marshmallows, pretzels or peanuts. On Friday and Saturday night, there will also be live music on the terrace.
