Electric Castle 2024 Begins!

It’s set to be the best Electric Castle edition yet! The event that thousands of participants look forward to all year is ready to start. The campsite has already been opened to accommodate the 18,000 residents who will populate EC Village for the next week, and organizers have prepared solutions for quick, simplified, and safe access.

The festival officially opens on Wednesday, July 17, at 2:00 PM. Until then, participants can already handle most of the access procedures remotely: wristbands can be physically picked up at dedicated locations in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, or delivered by courier. Connected to a bank account, these will serve as the festival-goers’ “wallet,” the most practical payment method for those who do not want to worry about cash or physical cards.

Online, participants can also purchase their train and bus tickets, the recommended means of transport to get to Bonțida. Efficient and sustainable, these are particularly practical for those who will travel daily to/from the festival, from the stations set up in Cluj-Napoca at Iulius Mall and Expo Transilvania. Electric Castle has increased the number of buses by 25% compared to the previous edition, with the maximum waiting time for boarding estimated to be 30 minutes.

The organizers have also published auto access routes, with cars that arrive with all seats occupied benefiting from free parking in one of the over 3,000 available parking spots. Access to parking can also be paid online before reaching the festival area.

Over 1,500 people will ensure the safety of participants, including the festival’s own teams and authority teams. Electric Castle has its own emergency number, 0733 070 026, available non-stop, and 3 first-aid points. The “Angel shot” code remains in effect and can be used at any bar to receive help. For the first time, festival-goers can access G-Info Spot points where information and resources for sexual safety are provided. MedLife offers free STD testing, and specialist doctors in gynecology, urology, psychology, and psychiatry are present at the festival for counseling, according to a pre-established schedule.

Two free hydration stations are prepared for the upcoming hot days. Festival-goers can bring their own reusable bottles and are encouraged to make the most of the shaded areas at the festival. Hydration points, stages, and all activities from EC 10 can be found on the festival map, available on the EC app. There, participants can also create their schedule, receiving notifications before their favorite shows. Organizers also provide a guide that includes all the necessary information for a worry-free experience.

The 10th edition of the festival brings some changes regarding the placement of stages. The Hangar Stage, the second largest and favorite spot for lovers of live rock concerts and drum & bass shows, will be located near the castle, and Radio Stage takes its place. Drip Stage has a new look, becoming a hub for urban culture and a place where participants can see hip-hop, rap, and trap artists from European and local scenes.
