Demarcation pillars for bicycle lanes to be set up in Bucharest

Sorin Oprescu, the mayor of the Romanian capital city, has announced the set up of demarcation poles around bicycle lanes in Bucharest. The measure was taken in order to prevent auto vehicles from infringing the areas specially delimited for bicycle users across the city.

The pillars will be set at a distance of 1.5 meters, will be dark green in color and will support a reflective tape at the base. The city hall thus intends to stop cars from being parked on bicycle lanes across Bucharest and to further protect and delimit them from so often being trespassed.
