Experience children’s films, shows, and workshops at KINOdiseea free of charge

In its 15th edition, KINOdiseea will take place from 11-15 October at Sala Gloria, Sala Luceafărul, and Prăjitoria Buimac, while all the movies are free of charge, with booking in advance at rezervari@kinodiseea.ro.

In addition to the five films in the Kinodiseea Junior competition, the festival brings two special screenings in the Panorama section, stilt-walking performances, pantomime, juggling, and magic with Wizd’Arts and animators, balloon modeling, and face painting for the little ones.

KINOdiseea October 11, 2023

On the first day, events at the festival begin at Sala Gloria at 9:30 AM with a stilt-walking performance, followed by the screening of the film “The Flower Fairy and the Stone Troll,” directed by Karla Nor Holmback, at 10:00 AM. In the same space, at 6:00 PM, the film “Jules’ Adventures in Asha’s World,” directed by Sophie Farkas Bolla, will be screened.

On October 12th, starting at 9:30 AM at Sala Gloria, there is a juggling show, followed by the screening of the film “Katak – Brave Beluga,” directed by Christine Dallaire-Dupont and Nicola Lemay, at 10:00 AM, and the film “The Canterville Ghost,” directed by Robert Chandler and Kim Burdon, at 6:00 PM.

The events of the third day of the festival start at Sala Gloria at 9:30 AM with a pantomime performance by Lulu Trăsnea, followed by the film “The Canterville Ghost,” directed by Robert Chandler and Kim Burdon, at 10:00 AM, and “Abbababb!” directed by Nanna Kristin Magnusdottir at 6:00 PM. At Sala Luceafărul, at 6:30 PM, the film “The Weather of Secrets,” directed by Christophe Barratier, is scheduled.

On October 14th, at 11:00 AM, Prăjitoria Buiman will feature a block of short films recommended for children aged 3 to 6. At the same time, at nJOY Club & Garden, another block of short films recommended for children aged 6 to 18 will be presented.

At Sala Gloria, at 11:00 AM, the film “The Flower Fairy and the Stone Troll,” directed by Karla Nor Holmback, is scheduled, followed by a Face Painting workshop at 12:15 PM. At 5:30 PM, there will be an animator and balloon modeling workshop, and at 6:00 PM, a magic show with Wizd’Arts.

Also at 6:00 PM, at Sala Gloria, the film “Jules’ Adventures in Asha’s World,” directed by Sophie Farkas Bolla, is scheduled.

The final day of the festival will begin at 11:00 AM with blocks of short films at Prăjitoria Buimac and nJOY Club & Garden.

Starting at 11:00 AM, you can watch the film “Katak – Brave Beluga,” directed by Christine Dallaire-Dupont and Nicola Lemay, at Sala Luceafărul, and the film “Mavka. The Forest Fairy,” directed by Oleh Malamuzh and Oleksandra Ruban, at Sala Gloria.

From 12:15 PM, Sala Gloria will host a Face Painting workshop with two animators, and at Sala Luceafărul, starting at 1:00 PM, you can enjoy a magic show with Wizd’Arts. Also at Sala Luceafărul, at 1:00 PM, the film “The Canterville Ghost,” directed by Robert Chandler and Kim Burdon, will be screened.
