Bucharest Days will be celebrated between September 12 and 20 in the best known areas of the city, such as Constitutiei and Enescu squares and the historic center as well as in Herastrau, Tineretului and Carol parks and Cismigiu Garden. Museums and theaters will also keep their doors open, free of charge. Below are listed this week's highlights:
September 12-20 – A Fair of Folk Artisans will take place in Constitutiei Square.
September 14 – The Romanian Peasant's Museum will host the film gala Forbidden Bucharest, starting at 8 pm.
September 15 – A fashion show with collections by Romanian designers will take place at Teatrul de Vara in Herastrau Park, starting at 8.30 pm.
September 18 – Bucharest City Museum launches the anniversary stamp collection Bucharest 550 in Herastrau Park. September 18-20 – The exhibition The Romanian Legion in Italy during the First Wo
rld War at the Romanian Arch of Triumph.
September 19 – Soprano Angela Gheorghiu and tenor Vlad Mirita will sing on a stage constructed in Constitutiei Square, starting at 9 pm.
September 19 – A jazz concert by the Florin Niculescu Quintet takes place in George Enescu Square starting at 8.30 pm.September 19 & 20 – Two shows by ethnic minorities will take place on these t
wo consecutive days in Constitutiei Square, starting at 12 noon.
September 19-20 – Bucharest's White Night, when museums are open until 3 am.
September 20 – A painting exhibition and auction will be held in the Marble Room of the National Military Center, starting at 5 pm.
