Bucharest’s Central University Library launches Book Street project

The Central University Library Carol I in Bucharest is opening between September 17 and 24 the Book Street (Strada de C’arte) project. The open-air event takes place on the C.A. Rosetti, Boteanu and Golescu streets and plans to fill these pedestrian areas with theater, music, painting and film events.

Creativity workshops for children will be held, while 14 publishing houses and 14 architectural offices will attend the event. Besides being able to attend a book fair featuring Romanian and international titles, visitors will be able to attend architecture seminars. Theater shows, concerts and films will be shown free of charge in the library building. In the evening, after the library building opening hours end, visitors can attend guided tours of the library.
