Construction companies in Romania took part in a football tournament organised in the benefit of Hospice Casa Sperantei on Saturday, November 13. Bucharest Football Project, Phase III: Football and Friends for Hospice Casa Sperantei was hosted by FC Steaua and benefited from the participation of Helmuth Duckadam, Narcis Raducan and the ex-FA referee, Vic Callow.
The event raised EUR 5,000, which will pay for a nurse to make 400 home visits to patients in Bucharest. The fundraiser also aimed to increase the level of awareness regarding paliative care services and support Hospice Casa Speranţei in the provision of free specialised assistance to incurable patients. The funds collected on the occasion of the event will support the Hospice centres in Brasov, Bucharest and Fagaras and help the delivery of home visits for the patients looked after by the foundation.
