This weekend, between September 24 and 26, in Tineretului Park, the fourth edition of Bucharest Food Festival is taking place. Presented as the biggest gastronomic event of Romania, BFF has a history of 40,000 visitors, 15,000 free food portions offered to the public, 6 gastronomic records and 2 WRA records throughout its previous editions.

This year’s edition of Bucharest Food Festival is part of The Open Days European project and focuses on the theme “Unity through diversity”, and on the sub-theme “The European Menu”. Thus, each European state will step into the limelight with its trademark cuisine, as well as through its traditional music and best known brands, through sampling and sale sections.

In its outdoor setting, BFF will consist of a European picnic area, where participants will prepare traditional products from different EU countries for the public sale, a terraces and restaurants area, as well as a concerts venue. Indoor wise, the location will be shared between exhibitor stands, a demonstration area, seminars location and a playground, where children will play, draw and learn how to cook.

Part of the culinary demonstrations will be held by chefs Horia Virlan and Cezar Munteanu, known to Romanians through their numerous TV appearances. More information about Bucharest Food Festival available here, also in English.
