This event will cover 13-17 Romexpo pavilions, spanning a larger surface, (14,000 sqm) than in previous years, so that publishing houses will have enough space to display their wares.
As a first, there will be a pavilion entirely dedicated to animation spaces created for events and debates. Another first is that the Romanian Writers' Union will award its prizes during the fair and the public will have the opportunity to meet the cream of the crop of Romanian and international writers.
BookFest is organized by the Association of Romanian Editors with a view to facilitating public access to the latest information on book releases and offering ample space for editors to display this offer. Apart from showcasing the latest releases, Bookfest broadcasts in real time debates and meetings between prominent cultural figures, media representatives and readers.
The first Bookfest edition took place in 2006 and gathered under the same roof 215 book editors and distributors and 70,000 visitors.
