Bonfire Night and Caledonian Ball for the benefit of sensory impaired children

On November 5, Light into Europe NGO organizes Guy Fawkes Night Party, marking 405 years since the failed attempt of the Gunpowder Plot, when Guy Fawkes and his allies attempted to blow up King James I and the Houses of Parliament in London, on 5th November 1605.

The attendance fee for Bonfire Night is of RON 50, including food and drinks. There will also be a competition between British Schools in Bucharest, awarding the one who can make the best Guy Fawkes. The proceeds will be directed to the organization’s projects aiding sensory impaired children. The celebration will take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel, on Poligrafiei 1, starting at 1900 hrs. The Caledonian Ball and the Highland Dinner take place on November 20, at Intercontinental Hotel, at Ronda Ballroom, and afterwards at Cercul Militar National. The events will feature live Scottish music performed by the Scotish group Òr Ceilidh Band, as well as traditional Haggis imported from Bannockburn, Scotland.

The Highland Dinner will start at 1830 hrs at Intercontinental Hotel and at Cercul Militar National, the ball is set to begin at 1900 hrs. The ticket price is 99 Euro or 430 RON. More information about the celebration is available here.
