Athenee Palace Hilton has announced the appointment of Gabriele Savini as executive chef for the hotel’s outlets and banqueting services.

Born in the touristic village of Senigallia, near Ancona on the Adriatic Sea, Savini

moved to the capital, Rome, at a young age, where he was raised. Savini joined a

hotelier school where he specialised in kitchen management, obtaining a bachelor’s

degree after five years. For ten years, Savini and his wife managed their own

restaurant in the town of Senigallia, an experience that enhanced his passion for

hospitality, service and wine.

In 2006, Savini decided to expand his horizons and share his knowledge of Italian

cuisine, gaining new exposure. After spending two years in St. Petersburg, Russia,

Savini took the opportunity to become executive chef at Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik,

Croatia.

“After two years with Hilton, I now have the honor of facing new challenges and the

opportunity to improve my skills in my role at Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest,” said

Savini. “I feel it is the combination of passion, skill and use of authentic products that

ensures a meal is enjoyable and of good palate.”

Savini’s first project in his new role will be to reopen Roberto’s Restaurant, which is

currently undergoing a complete renovation. Savini is confident he will ensure this

revamped eatery will become the first choice for locals, the expat community and

hotel guests, offering a new culinary experience.
