Around the World in One Day, a cross for children in need

On June 26, starting 9,00 hours, a charity cross under the name Around the World in a Day will take place in Tineretului Park in Bucharest.

The fundraiser in Bucharest is part of a continental-wide challenge organized by Hilton in the Community Foundation, the official charity of Hilton Worldwide in Europe. The company’s team members, charity partners and the public will all be working together on the day in more than 70 hotels in eight countries. They will be collectively aiming to virtually travel the circumference of the Earth – 80,150.32 kilometers – all in aid of local causes chosen by each hotel.

The event in Bucharest will include three sections: running race, bike race and the creative race. The event in Bucharest is supported by the Bucharest Running Club and is aimed to be a fun event for friends and families. Every participant will also receive a form for donations. All the net funds raised during this event will be donated to United Way Romania, to support children in need. All participants will be included in a raffle organized by Athenee Palace Hilton on the day of the event.
