The Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce (RDCC) and the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce will host the premier Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Eastern Europe Conference. The half-day event will take place on 9 May 2023, at the InterContinental Athenee Palace Hotel in Bucharest and will connect senior diversity, equity and inclusion leaders from across the region to share best practices, insights and solutions for advancing ED&I in the workplace and beyond.

“This conference is a unique opportunity to learn from and network with some of the most influential and innovative ED&I champions in Eastern Europe. We have partnered with the British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce to showcase the positive impact of diversity and inclusion on business performance, innovation and social responsibility that British firms have benefitted from both in Romania and abroad. We expect one of the outcomes of the conference to be a list of actionable insights that attendees can immediately adapt and implement in their own workplaces,” Perry V. Zizzi, President of the RDCC and Managing Partner of Dentons Romania, said.

“The simple definition of the word diversity has clearly transformed over the last few years enabling a much clearer understanding and embracing of what diversity really means and its enormous value in society and business. We are both proud and delighted to be part of promoting this continuing message together with our friends in the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce.” said Colin C. Lovering, Chairman of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce.

The conference will also feature the official launch of the RDCC ED&I Certification Program, a groundbreaking initiative that will enable businesses to assess and improve their diversity and inclusion practices, gain recognition and visibility, and access new opportunities and markets. The first company in Romania to receive the ED&I Certification, Telios Care, will share its experience and benefits of the program.

The conference will benefit from the presence of H.E. Ambassador Therese Hydén of Sweden, who will deliver a keynote speech, followed by a stellar line-up of speakers, including Perry Zizzi, RDCC President & Managing Partner of Dentons, Marco Hößl, CEO of Kaufland Romania & Moldova, Elisabeta Moraru, Country Director at Google Romania, Melissa Engelhardt Verdejo, Inclusive Finance Associate at EBRD, Estera Anghelescu, Recruiting & Employer Branding Director at Kaufland Romania & Moldova, Ana Dumitrache, Country Head of CTP Romania, Bartłomiej Budnicki, D&I Lead at Skanska and Philip Choban, CEO of Telios Care.

The conference is kindly sponsored by CTP, Dentons, Kaufland Romania & Moldova and MyEcoBox.ro and supported by the Embassy of Italy, Embassy of Sweden, Belgian Luxembourg Romanian Moldovan Chamber of Commerce, Portugal-Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Women’s Network Romania, Social Innovation Solutions, She is Mom and Talent Center.
