German – Austrian Business Forum aims to find how German and Austrian companies fared last year in terms of results and moves, and what their plans are for this year, during a period marked by uncertainty and slow growth. The forum brings together representatives of the two countries that are among the largest export destinations for Romania and have a significant investment footprint in the domestic economy. Investments of German companies in Romania focus on the automotive supply sector, but there is a strong presence in energy utilities and large retail chains. Meanwhile, Austrian firms are active in the banking sector, clean energy and constructions. How will trade relations between the two countries and Romania fare this year and what are the sectors sought after by German and Austrian investors?
