The IULIUS Company and Cinema City will introduce into the Openville Timişoara mixed-use project, for the first time outside the capital city, the latest concept in international cinema industry: VIP Cinema All Inclusive. Per total, Cinema City will operate 12 movie halls, of which 3 VIP halls fitted with an individual kitchen, as well as a dedicated lobby, designed for dining before the movie, thus transforming merely watching a movie into a five stars experience.

The two companies recently concluded a partnership for the expansion of Cinema City by 7 new halls, adding to the already existing ones in Iulius Mall Timişoara, an integral part of the Openville mixed-use project. The new partnership was concluded in the context of developing the Openville mixed-use project, which is currently pending construction and that will create 47,000 sqm of additional retail premises.

“The primary novelty of the Cinema City expansion is the three VIP halls that will spice up the cinematic experience for the people of Timişoara, transforming them from mere movie goers into the main characters of the evening. Thus, Cinema City banks on the most innovative and successful industry trend: dinner and cinema. The cinema in Openville will be the first location outside the capital of Romania where we will implement this novel VIP concept – a genuine gourmet cinematic experience included in the price of a movie ticket,” said Ioana Ionescu, Marketing Manager Cinema City Romania.

The new VIP concept at Cinema City comprises: halls fitted with fully digitalized leather chairs, with adjustable back and leg rest for total relaxation; culinary dishes for the spectators to enjoy before the movie and freshly prepared by a chef, available on an ultra-all-inclusive basis; unlimited delicious popcorn and nachos throughout the movie, as well as the best projection conditions.
