The local book-printing market, a major area of the firm’s business, is estimated at EUR 80 million. It has dropped by only 15 percent this year because it is still supported by book give-aways with newspaper sales. “We don’t necessarily expect growth in the books or magazines segment for 2010, probably a stagnation,” said Dan Bacalum, managing partner of 4Colours Advertising.
Radin Group, which is present in Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Hungary and Bosnia, posted a turnover of EUR 67 million in 2008. In Romania, it prints several glossy magazines and books. The Subotica facility, which saw EUR 20 million invested last year, is used for Romanian orders. Radin competes with Infopress both in Romania and Hungary on the magazine segment, and with Arta Grafica, Coresi and Monitorul Oficial on the books side.
