Rautaruukki transfers production from Hungary to Romania

Centralizing operations will also strengthen its engineering expertise in Central and Eastern Europe. The manufacture of components will be relocated from the Swedish units to Poland by the end of this year, the company has said.
Rautaruukki supplies metal-based components, systems and integrated systems to the construction and engineering industries. The company has operations in 27 countries and employs 12,200 people. Net sales in 2008 totaled EUR 3.9 billion. The company uses the marketing name Ruukki.
