Romania’s industrial output on both domestic and foreign markets grew by 0.5 percent in October compared to September, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INS). However, although the industrial output started to grow on the short term, it still lags behind the figures last year, being 16.4 percent below the level of October 2008. The first ten months of the year saw a similar drop, which was fueled mainly by the drop of the manufacturing industry and by the mining industry.
