Romtelecom to provide telephone and Internet services to Hidroelectrica

Telecom company Romtelecom has won a contract to offer Hidroelectrica telephony and Internet services for its headquarters and for its hydro power plants subsidiaries. The contract is worth RON 11.9 million (around EUR 2.8 million). The contract was awarded based on the lower price criterion. Hidroelectrica is owned by the Romanian state, through the Ministry of Economy. The company employs 5,000 people and has made a RON 1.8 billion turnover in the first nine months of the year. Its profit stood at RON 235 million, down threefold in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period of the last.
