Hotel tariffs down 19 percent in Bucharest

The average room tariff for Bucharest hotels dropped by 19 percent in November, to EUR 81.43, placing the Romanian capital city 14th among 20 European cities, according to data from hotel.info. In November 2008, Bucharest hotel units were priced an average EUR 100.6. There was an increase of accommodation prices compared to previous months, for Europe as well as worldwide. However, accommodation prices in November this year were, with several exceptions, below those in November 2008, according to the hotel prices index.
