Kings On Ice – Olympic Tour 2010, a star-studded event showcasing the talents of some of the most famous world and European Olympic ice-skating champions, will take place at the Mihai Flamaropol rink in Bucharest on April 11.

Sixteen of the top stars of international skating will perform in the show. They will be accompanied by Hungarian violinist Edvin Marton, who won an Emmy for the Best Music Composition of the Year 2006 and took gold in the World Competition of Violinists.

Among those who take to the ice will be Evgeni Plushenko and Stephane Lambiel. Plushenko won the gold medal at this year’s European Artistic Skating Championship in Tallinn. He is also the most garlanded skater in the world, taking the art and technique of skating to a whole new level. In a 14-year career the Russian skater won no fewer than 50 gold medals, participating in 76 competitions. He has been world champion three times, European champion five times, won the Grand Prix competition four times, and the National Skating Championship in Russia seven times, a haul unsurpassed by anyone else. He is one of the few skaters who can do the Biellmann spin, and was the first to execute the quadruple toe loop-triple toe loop-double loop jump.

Lambiel took bronze in the European Artistic Skating Championship. In 2005, he became world champion in Moscow for the first time, after which he took the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Torino and a new world champion title in 2006.

The show is organized by Amphitrion. Tickets are on sale in the Diverta network and from the site www.myticket.ro.
