Banca Romaneasca ups First House threshold to EUR 54 million

Banca Romaneasca has received EUR 53.9 million in guarantees for the second phase of the First House program lending, which will allow the bank offer around 1,350 loans, the lender has announced. The bank will offer loans in euro and in lei. The number of files received by the bank since the beginning of the year on the First House loans programs has been increasing constantly, according to Lakis Couninis, executive director with Banca Romaneasca. The bank’s first threshold for the program was of EUR 35 million, our of which it has granted EUR 21 million of loans. The bank has also forwarded 600 files for loans worth EUR 15 million for pre-approval or approval by the Fund for Guaranteeing Loans. The average value of a loan granted by Banca Romaneasca through this program was of EUR 40,000, with around 80 percent of the requests targeting old apartments.
