The arrears of credits jumped to RON 9.24 billion

The weight of arrears in the total volume of loans increased from 4.37 percent in January to 4.6 percent in February, while their value grew by 5.34 percent to RON 9.24 billion, according the data published recently by the National Bank of Romania (BNR). Besides the weight of arrears was about 3.88 percent in December last year. Moreover, the balance of loans offered by lenders remained almost the same in the first two months of 2010, reaching over RON 200 billion. The RON arrears increased by 4.96 percent in February on January, to RON 4.85 billion, while uncleared debts of foreign currency loans increased by 5.76 percent, to RON 4.39 billion.
