Blue Air opens operational base in Larnaca

Low-cost air carrier Blue Air has recently opened its third operational base on the Hermes Airport in Larnaca, Cyprus. The company’s newly acquired Boeing 737 – 800 Next Generation will operate flights to Vienna, Warsaw, Milan and Bucharest with an estimated occupancy rate of 75 percent. The company also expects to reach an estimated traffic of 160,000 by the end of this year. Blue Air entered the Cyprus market in 2008 and will continue to operate its initial routes, Paphos – Salonic and Paphos – Bucharest.
