Belgian bakery group La Lorraine has struck a deal with Macromex, the largest frozen product distributor in Romania, to build a bread factory in Campia Turzii. Work on it is set to begin in fall this year, and should be finished by the end of 2011. Construction of the EUR 8 million factory will be financed through a joint venture between the two companies. Through this project, the firms are entering a market that is estimated to amount to EUR 1 billion.
