KINGdom opens its gates at the Hilton

Athenee Palace Hilton is hosting The KINGdom, an exhibition by a trio of young artists, Alina Bancila, Mihai Bancila and Ion Andrei Puican, which opened last week on May 12.

The KINGdom comprises jewelry, sculpture and graphics which take the viewer to a world where they can discover parts of their own universe. The message of the three artists is that “Within each of us there is a kingdom, we only need the courage to discover it!”

Alina Bancila provided the jewels of the KINGdom, which combine semi-precious gems and metals to convey “a state, a feeling” to whomever wears them. Mihai Bancila made shapes through sculpture, convinced of the fact that the shapes he creates come from the inside and reveal themselves at the right time. Graphic artist Ion Andrei Puican tells the story of the kingdom in images, populating the viewer’s inner world with desires and ideals.

The opening of the exhibition took place in the presence of guest of honor Luiza Zan, a top Romanian jazz singer. It will run until June 5.
