Athenee Palace Hilton gets EUR 2 million facelift, closes Brasserie restaurant

Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest is getting a EUR 2 million facelift which involves the refurbishment of various facilities inside the hotel.

 ANA hotels, the owner of the property, has finished the renovation works for Roberto’s on La Strada terrace and will start the refurbishment of its public areas on the hotel’s ground floor in June. The restaurants Brasserie and Le Bistrot, the hotel lobby and Le Collonnade will be renovated in different stages between June and August. Roberto’s restaurant will follow towards the end of the year.

Friedrich Niemann, general manager of Athenee Palace Hilton, said: ‘The repositioning of the hotel’s restaurants with more fashionable concepts, matching the modern classic interior design, will offer Bucharest residents and their guests exciting alternatives to enjoy Hilton hospitality in Bucharest.”

The hotel will remain fully operational during the refurbishment and guests can choose between Roberto’s restaurant, Roberto’s on La Strada, the English Bar and Le Collonnade.

The Brasserie restaurant will be closed permanently and the space converted into a luxurious retail shop by the end of 2010, while Le Bistrot restaurant will reopen with a new concept in August. During July and August Le Collonnade and the hotel lobby will also be overhauled.
