Local alternative rock band byron is working on a new album, which “will bring at least one major change to the band’s traditional style”, said record company officials. After two studio albums and a DVD of unplugged performances, work on the follow-up to A Kind of Alchemy is now underway by the band, which was formed in 2006 by Dan Byron.
One major change sees the album sung in Romanian, unlike its English-language predecessors. “Ever since this band came to life, we’ve managed to release a new album each year. We have come to support this tradition, so we’re working on something new this autumn. We thought that it should be something special, so we will try an unexpected experiment for us – the tracks will be in Romanian,” said the band. byron can be seen live this August at Stufstock, in Vama Veche, between August 16 and 22.
