The gas deliveries of Russian oil major Gazprom to Romania have fallen by 18 percent against normal quantities today, amounting to less than 0.2 million cbm per day, said Razvan Nicolescu, the delegate minister of energy, quoted by Agerpres newswire.
Nicolescu said there is not reason of concern regarding the move of the Russian company.
Gazprom has reduced several times the quantities delivered to Romania, without citing any clear reason.
The Romanian minister has met with the Russian Ambassador to Romania, Oleg Malginov, at the start of this month, regarding the supply of gas to Romania.
The Russian Ambassador did not confirm at that time that there will not be more issues with the imports of gas to Romania.
At present Romania has over 2.4 billion cbm in storage and produces 31 million cbm daily, while consumption amounts to around 16 million cbm.
