A new premiere will take place in Bucharest: The Ministry of Wolves represents a group of well-known musicians, Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten), Mick Harvey (co-founder The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds), Danielle de Picciotto (Crime & The City Solution) and Paul Wallfisch (Botanica), will be on The Silver Church stage on Thursday, September 25, from 20.00, presenting the Brothers Grimm stories from another perspective.
Based on the writings of the Brothers Grimm, in particular Anne Sexton’s Transformations (1971), the Pulitzer Prize winning poet’s reworking of the Grimm’s fairy tales, The Ministry of Wolves’ album has been created as a soundtrack to Republik der Wölfe, a theatre production directed by Claudia Bauer.
The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and many other well-known tales will be translated into the atmosphere of the urban present. Tickets cost RON 50 and can be bought from the entrace of TheSIlver Church Club (61 Plevnei Street).
