The government approved in its Tuesday meeting a draft decision on the budget and the structure of expenditure for the preparation, organization and performance of the presidential election in November. According to the draft, the public budget will be poorer by RON 192.4 million when Romania will have a new president, writes Agerpres.
The money is to be split up between:
– Ministry of Internal Affairs – RON 166.778 million;
– Secretariat-General of the Government – RON 47.058 million;
– Standing Electoral Authority – RON 10.694 million;
– Special Telecommunication Service – RON 7.735 million;
– Ministry of Foreign Affairs – RON 4.270 million.
The Executive also approved several decisions for the proper organization and performance of the presidential election, for the model, size and printing conditions of the ballots, the management and use of the stickers applied on voters’ identity cards, the models of the copy of the voting lists, of the voting tables and of the affidavits to be used for the election, of the rubber stamps reading VOTAT (voted) to be used in polling stations and of the control stamps of the voting stations, and of the voting result summaries and reports.
The the presidential election will be held in two rounds, on 2 and 16 November 2014, as decided by the government in February.
