Ness Romania, part of Ness Technologies, will create in Iasi approximately 200 new working places until 2016, due to growing demand for the company’s services, according to Ziarul De Iasi.

Once the team absorbs the new employees, the Ness team in Iasi will be the second in size in Eastern Europe.

The Romanian government has approved a state aid scheme of EUR 5.4 million which will help the company take in more people and expand its activity.

According to this state backed scheme, over the next two years, the Romanian state will cover half of the expenses with the new recruited candidates. In return, the company commits to keep these positions for five years.

The state aid will be granted based on the investment scheme instituted via the government decision 797/2012.

As part of the expansion project, Ness Romania will continue to develop customer oriented software, which is expected to bring 90 percent of the company’s turnover.

The Ness development center in Iasi expanded last week its office space in the United Business Center 2 in the Palas mixed retail, residential and office development center by an additional 650 square meters. Currently, the company occupies 2,100sqm on three floors, according to Ziarul de Iasi.
