UPDATE: Vodafone and Cosmote launch iPhone 4 on December 17

Vodafone and Cosmote have both announced that they will launch iPhone 4 on December 17. Vodafone Romania announced the handset will be available in all Vodafone stores and in the online store of Vodafone Romania, here, www.vodafone.ro/iphone. The operator will also launch several price versions for iPhone users.

“We are glad to launch iPhone 4 in the portfolio of Vodafone Romania with the unique benefit of 90 percent coverage of the country population for high speed mobile internet services,” said Karsten Wildberger, Chief Commercial Officer, Consumer Unit, Vodafone Romania.

Cosmote will launch the handset in its stores on the same day.  “Starting December 17, our customers will have the chance to benefit from the most attractive Cosmote iPhone tariff plans.” Full pricing and availability details for iPhone 4 will be available soon, at http://www.cosmote.ro/iphone.

At the moment, all three large telecom operators, Orange, Vodafone and Cosmote have iPhone 4 in their portfolio.  The newest iPhone model can also be bought via a large range of IT&c online retailers.
