The next VentureConnect session, an event for entrepreneurs looking for financing, is due to take place on June 12 at Intercontinental Hotel (Fortuna Hall), and will include two pitch sessions, one for upstart companies looking for a seed investment and the second for more mature ones that need a more substantial capital infusion.
VentureConnect, which started in 2010 and the Venture Mentoring sessions, which kicked off in 2013, have welcomed over 400 companies in Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Croatia, Hungary and the United States.
“Every year I look with more and more confidence at the community of entrepreneurs in Romania and South-Eastern Europe,” according to Ana Maria Andronic, co-founder of the VentureConnect program.
VentureConnect reunites funds, accelerators and incubators in Romania and South-Eastern Europe. Entrepreneurs who wish to pitch their business ideas can submit their applications by May 30 by filling in the form on the VentureConnect website.
VentureConnect has had eight editions so far and was organized so far in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara.
Radu Georgescu hosts Venture Mentoring
Romanian entrepreneur Radu Georgescu, founding partner GECAD Group, will be taking place in the first Venture Mentoring meeting this year which will be taking place on May 8, between 14.30- 17.00 at TechHub Bucharest.
“Entrepreneurs focus on concrete results and punctual questions. I am keenly waiting the Venture Mentoring session to think together with those present viable solutions to their questions,” said Georgescu.
On the agenda during the event there will be topics such as how to grow the number of clients, how to evolve from the start-up phase to making a competitive product, how to pick the right investors for one’s business, when to involve mentors in the business development, how to identify strategic partners, structure the business and strategy.
