A rarity on an art market dominated by painting, the second Annual Auction of Romanian and European Sculpture will see around 80 works go under the hammer. One of the most eagerly awaited is Jean-Alexandre Falguière’s The Dancer, the bronze sculpture of Cléo de Mérode, a well-known French dancer during the Belle Epoque era. The auction, organized by Artmark, will take place at Palatul Ghika (Ghika Palace, Doamna Ghica Street 2, Bucharest), on November 18. Between November 13 and 17 all the featured works will be on display at the same location.
