Danila, Petre & Asociatii (DPA) law firm have announced that they have expanded to the Republic of Moldova and have signed a partnership with local law firm Hanganu, Tanase si Asociatii. Through this partnership, the law firm expects to increase its turnover by ten percent.
DPA is not the first Romanian law firm to open a subsidiary in Moldova. Tuca, Zbarcea & Asociatii, as well as Musat & Asociatii did so, as well, partnering up with Turcan and Turcan and, respectively, Popa si Asociatii. DPA already advises two clients from the Republic of Moldova and expects ten more by yearend.
The partnership just signed by DPA consists in the granting of some specific exclusivities between the two firms. Hanganu, Tanase si Asociatii has six permanent lawyers and three partners.
“We chose the Republic of Moldova because of its openness towards investment and due to its being a gate both to the East, as well as the West. The clear direction that the government and the Pro-European alliance in the Moldovan Republic hold towards Europe is also important. We are considering both investment projects, as well as government legislation harmonization”, stated Cristian Petre (in picture), DPA partner.
Last year, DPA opened a subsidiary in Bulgaria.
