Star Storage posted a turnover in excess of EUR 20 million in 2010, which represented a 50 percent growth compared to the previous year, which was due mainly to investments in the portfolio of outsourced data center and printing services and solutions.
For this year, the company aims to reach a turnover that is 25 percent higher than in 2010 and also develop its team of specialists.
“In 2010 we developed a new business unit- Records Archiving & Management- which has as main pillar a new investment objective- The Center for Archiving and Management of Registrations in Physical Format- becoming thus the only company in Romania which offers integrated management services of hybrid archives,” said Catalin Paunescu, Managing Director Star Storage.
All divisions reported important growth but the most significant was that of the infrastructure, Data Center Outsourcing and Output Management Outsourcing. The last two divisions also benefitted from the highest investments, which amounted to EUR 2 million in 2010.
The private sector contributed with 70 percent of the turnover while the public sector with 30 percent. “As far as we are concerned, in spite of significant investments made in developing specific solutions, the public sector remains a disappointment due to the small number of projects and the lack of consistency in the execution of a coherent national IT&C strategy,” said Paunescu.
