Al Di Meola brings experimental fusion jazz to Bucharest

Legendary jazz performer Al Di Meola will perform in Bucharest on April 21, at Sala Palatului, together with his band, New World Sinfonia, in a concert organized by Events.

The son of Nepalese and Italian immigrants, Al Di Meola was born in New Jersey and grew up listening to Elvis Presley, Ventures and The Beatles, learning to play guitar and dance salsa. Throughout his career, he collaborated with Chick Corea, Luciano

Pavarotti, Paco de Lucia, Phil Collins, Santana, John McLaughlin, Jimmy Page, Stevie Wonder or Jean Luc Ponty.

Today, Di Meola is one of the most prominent experimental jazz performers. He will share the stage in his Bucharest concert with Fausto Beccalossi (accordion), Peo Afonsi (acoustic guitar), Peter Kaszas (percussion), Gumbi Ortiz (percussion) and Victor Miranda (bass).

After February 25, tickets will range between RON 88 and 218 and will be available for purchase in the Eventim chain (online, on www.eventim.ro, or offline in the Germanos, Vodafone, Orange stores and the Humanitas and Carturesti libraries). However, until February 25, a 20 percent discount will be available. Tickets may also be purchased in two installments.
