Agerpres, the first newswire in Romania, announced it has a new identity, a new logo- “Update the World” and it will deliver its message via new online communication outlets.
“We have been here since 1889 and we’ve done more than 90 years of live transmission, which means that Agerpres represents Romania’s history in the news. We want to be its present and future, so we are reinventing ourselves today to better fulfill our purpose of being the most important source of correct, impartial information for Romania and the rest of the world,” said Alexandru Giboi, general manager of Agerpres.
Agerpres will keep its fundamental roles of newswire, media monitoring, photography archive and will introduce three new pillars: online orientation with a new website and integration of social networks, an interactive video platform and the ‘complete journalist’ concept, starting from the role of the journalist to collect information and write news.
