The European Business Summit (EBS), a key meeting place for business leaders, diplomats, public sector representatives and EU policy-makers, is set to take place this year 15-16 May 2013 in Brussels. Now at its 11th edition, this year’s summit will take on the theme: “Unlocking Industrial Opportunities – an EU Strategy for Competitiveness”. The summit attracts 1,500 participants from over 60 countries, and some 150 journalists.
Sessions include experts on international trade, EU-Russian joint industrial and innovation agenda, energy and shale gas, skills, sustainability, competitiveness, digitalisation, IPR, value chains and international trade.
A keynote speech by Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, will open the event. Closing remarks will be delivered by José-Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.
