The now familiar annual photo exhibition by a group of female expatriates, this year 34 women originating from 19 very different cultures, has opened at the Crowne Plaza Hotel until June 3.
Hailing from Spain, Slovakia, Pakistan, Scotland, Ireland, England, Peru, USA, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, France, South Africa, Iran, Italy, Belgium and Turkey, or Romanians who have recently returned to their country after many years abroad, all these women have chosen to apply their talent in exhibiting Romania again and exalting the array of colours that characterise the people who live here, the different regions, the details and the landscape scenes.
After “Romania through the lenses of expat women” and “An A to Z of Romania, Through the lenses of Expat Women”, “Colours of Romania” shows the richness of the colours that demonstrate the strength of this beautiful country.
All the prints on show at the Crowne Plaza are available for sale, and the exhibitors have also produced a book of photos with even more pictures of Romania. All of the funds raised from the sale of prints and books will be donated to the following local NGOs: Mia and her Children, Asociatia Speranta Pentru Sanatate, the Association of Our Lady of Mercy in Romania, Parada, Hospice Casa Sperentei, Mia (Casa Valentina), Fundatia Inocenti, Light into Europe and Second Chance.
