Romanian spend on average 10 euro on smartphone accessories

Romanians spend on average EUR 5 on mobile phone accessories in the entry range and EUR 10 on smartphone accessories, according to estimations of EuroGsm, retailer of Orange Romania.

Purchased items are meant mainly for the protection of the mobile phone , uch as silicon covers or screen film but also microSD memory cards and hands-free kits.

“The acquisition budget for accessories very much depends on what device each person uses. Those who use entry- level phones go mainly for hands-free kits, either with cable or Bluetooth, which gives them a certain freedom in using the device. Smartphone users are much more careful with their handsets. So they go for protection accessories such as silicon covers, created especially for a certain model or protection film for the touch screen,” explains Zoltan Halmai, commercial manager of EuroGsm.

The main criteria in acquiring the device are compatibility with the mobile phone, the way of using the mobile phone and the client’s budget.

In the case of smartphone and tablet users, the most sought for accessories are powerbanks and supplementary batteries and external keyboards.

Among the most expensive accessories sold in the EuroGsm network, for prices that surpass EUR 1,000, there are car audio systems and special bluetooth earphones, preferred especially by men.

Women buy fashion accessories, mostly in function of the aspect, color, shape and brand.

Other accessories that are gaining ground in the preferences of consuemrs are covers dedicated for fitness and extreme sports, but also touchscreen gloves that allow to use the devices during winter.
