Groupama Asigurari appoints new deputy general director

Calin Matei, 34, is the new deputy general director Groupama Asigurari. He holds 12 years of professional experience in the field of insurance. Matei joined OTP Garancia Insurance in 2005, holding the deputy general director position, and in February 2009 he was appointed CEO.

He was a member of the Board OTP Pension Fund SA and then Groupama Insurance Fusion Committee. Also, Matei has coordinated several special projects on life insurance and bancassurance in Groupama.
He graduated from the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Mathematics of the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest and between November 2004 and June 2006 followed actuarial studies at Corvinus University in Budapest.
