SGS, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, announces that it has entered into definitive agreements to acquire three additional companies as part of its M&A re-launch strategy: Gossamer Security Solutions (“Gossamer”) in the United States, and Analisis Quimico y Microbiologico SAS (“AQM”) and Cromanal SAS (“Cromanal”) in Colombia.

Gossamer is a world-class provider of cybersecurity assessment, testing and consulting services for interconnected devices. It is a leader in evaluating products against Common Criteria, the international set of standards for IT security certification. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Maryland, United States, Gossamer has 30 highly specialized employees and has grown rapidly. The acquisition is expected to close on July 31, 2024.

AQM and Cromanal are key players in the Colombian pharmaceutical testing industry. The companies hold key accreditations and offer services in the areas of microbiology, physical chemistry, liquid and gas chromatography for raw materials and finished products, as well as stability studies and validations. Established in 1995 and 2006 respectively, AQM and Cromanal are based in Bogota, Colombia and have a total of 140 employees. Acquisitions are subject to antitrust approvals.

Géraldine Picaud, CEO of SGS, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the talented teams at Gossamer, AQM and Cromanal to SGS. Gossamer further strengthens the power of our Brightsight brand in the growing cybersecurity market and reinforces our leadership position in North America. These acquisitions fully align with our 2027 Strategy to capitalize on our industry’s strong megatrends and rebalance our geographic position.”

SGS is the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company – recognized globally as the benchmark for sustainability, quality and integrity. SGS’s 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories spread across the globe.
