Freshful, the biggest online hypermarket, announces Tudor Mihăilescu as its General Manager

Freshful by eMAG, the online hypermarket offering a wide range of products, is on a new phase of growth with the appointment of Tudor Mihăilescu as its General Manager, aiming to expand the business to a one billion RON valuation.

Tudor Mihăilescu takes over the role from Andrei Popescu, who has led Freshful for the past two years. He will also maintain his role as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at eMAG Group, a position he has held since 2022, when he became responsible for coordinating the growth projects of the group’s new companies: Tazz, Fashion Days, PC Garage, Flip and Freshful.

Freshful is an online hypermarket that from the very beginning aimed to save customer’s time. Ordering is simple, and customers can have their shopping cart done in just a few minutes rather than hours. Delivery is scheduled and reliable delivery within their chosen timeframe. Offering over 18,000 products, Freshful covers all household needs, from seasonal fruits and vegetables to meats, frozen products, beverages, eco and organic items, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. Prices are verified daily and over a thousand items benefit from special prices. Freshful has delivered over a million orders in the last year in Bucharest, making it one of the top hypermarkets.

At Freshful, the quality and freshness of the products and the creation of a value-added business are the main priorities. Partnered with over 150 small local producers, many products, especially fruits and vegetables, reach customers within 24 hours of being picked. Tudor Mihăilescu joined eMAG in 2019 during a period of significant expansion and investment, initially as Group Chief Financial Officer. Before this, he was Chief Financial Officer for Procter & Gamble South East Europe, overseeing business operations. Between 2010 and 2013, he worked at Procter & Gamble’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Tudor holds a degree in Finance and Banking from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
