EP elections in Romania: The National Coalition for Romania (PSD/PNL) got 21 seats

On June 9, Romanian voted also for EP elections, where preliminary live results marks that The National Coalition for Romania (PSD/PNL) got 21 seats, followed by AUR (6 seats), United Right Alliance (USR, PMP, Forta Dreptei) – 4 seats, and UDMR – 2 seats. Currently, Romania elects 33 of 720 European Parliament seats.

As of 22:00, data from the Permanent Electoral Authority indicates that 51.12% of eligible voters participated in the European Parliament elections. Voter turnout was 44.57% in urban areas and 59.63% in rural areas. The counties with the highest voter turnout were Giurgiu, Olt, Teleorman, Salaj, and Gorj. In contrast, the counties with the lowest turnout were Vaslui, Iasi, Galati, and Bacau, along with Bucharest.
