Enel Green Power secures EUR 180 mln financing for wind parks in Romania, USA and Brazil

The green arm of Italian utility Enel has secured through Enel Green Power International a EUR 180 million financing agreement with the Danish government’s Export Credit Agency (EKF) for 3 wind farms with combined installed capacity of 410 MW.

Citigroup was agent and arranger for the 12-year financing agreement that will be used to cover part of the investments for Enel’s wind farms Zephyr I (Romania – 120 MW), Caney River ( USA – 200 MW) and Cristal ( Brazil – 90 MW). Total costs for this wind parks amount to EUR 670 million.

Enel Green Power has 296 MW of wind installed capacities in Romania, located in Dobrogea and Banat areas, south and south-wert of Romania, and plans to add another 180 MW in wind this year.
