Besides Nokia, other foreign investors will leave, says President

President Traian Basescu said today that, apart from Nokia, other foreign investors will leave.

“Potential shut-downs do not only apply to Jucu, I would look to other industries as well, this is nothing new. I asked the government to strive to create work places in the decisions it makes. If we don’t have the courage to assume important decisions, we will lose others as well,” said Basescu.

 Prime Minister Emil Boc has summoned an emergency meeting of the government that will take place at 18.00. This afternoon, the Romanian prime minister has already met with Risto Meskus, the manager of Nokia Romania.
