Swedish fashion retailer H&M has announced it will open its 13th store on the Romanian market on May 3rd in Craiova. The outlet will be located on the grounds of the Electroputere Parc shopping and it will cover 1,605 sqm.
H&M representatives have previously stated that the retailer’s expansion in Romania will continue. ”We want to go with the momentum (…) In April and May we are going to open new stores in Iasi, Craiova, Braila and Suceava.”, said Carlos Duarte, country manager H&M Romania, earlier this month on the occasion of the Arad store opening.
H&M runs 13 stores inRomania, six of which are inBucharest. The first local H&M store was opened last year in March in AFI Palace Cotroceni.
The Swedish retailer reported sales worth EUR 37.3 million (VAT included) between March and November last year from its local stores. H&M is the second largest fashion retailer in the world running about 2,500 stores.
